Police launch probe after viral video of male students h@r@ssing female mate accused of having s3x (Video)

The police in Ghana have launched a probe into a viral video on social media showing a group of male students from Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA) physically harassing and beating a female student.

The disturbing video has sparked widespread outrage in Ghana since it hit social media on Thursday.

The clip shows a huge crowd of young men following a female student in uniform, pushing, flogging and beating her after they accused her of engaging in a s3xual activity.

Towards the end of the clip, one of the boys can be seen manhandling the girl. He kicks out her legs from under her making her to crash on the ground.

It is not clear if they caught her in the act or if they just suspected her of having engaged in a sexual activity.

The clip led to outrage online with many people calling for the arrest of the perpetrator.

The Ghana Police Service has now acknowledged the video and, in a statement, promised to investigate it.

The police said everyone involved in the incident would be identified, arrested, and brought to justice.
