The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to photos of suspected bandits posing with bundles of Naira notes.

In the last few hours, photos and a video of suspected bandits flaunting money and doing giveaways have flooded social media.

Many netizens reacted to the images by dragging the police for failing to arrest the bandits showing off their ill-gotten wealth on social media.

Zagazola popular for exposing information about bandits and similar outlaws took to X to post one of such pictures with the caption:

“They are now posing with the ransom money. Showing that they are balling”

The got many more Nigerians to descend on the Nigeria police, with some suggesting that they are not living up to their responsibilities.

Reacting to the criticisms, Adejobi said the police could not arrest every criminal in the country all at once. He said the security men should be commended for their efforts so far.

“Efforts of security forces should be seen, noticed, and appreciated. We need to look towards having collective efforts and individualistic involvement in tackling insecurity and other vices in Nigeria. One thing is sure, no criminal will go unpunished. Thanks,” he wrote.
