The house-help of Aribemchukwu, the late daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has allegedly admitted to being involved in the k!lling of the newly wed medical doctor.
It would be recalled that Aribemchkwu, an employee of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), fondly called Chuchu, was found dead just outside her gate in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
It has now been established that Aribemchukwu, fondly called Chuchu was k!lled during an alleged botched armed robbery operation in her residence.
It was learnt that the lady was st@bbed to d*ath on Tuesday night but her lifeless body was discovered on Wednesday morning outside the gate of her residence.
The police immediately rounded up her three domestic employees, namely her house help, a security guard, and a driver.
They are currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence (SCIID), Panti, Yaba.
The three domestic staff reportedly plotted to rob the apartment of all the valuables therein.
They were reportedly carrying out this plot when the late Chuchu walked in on them and they k!lled her.
A police source told the Punch said the house help confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The househelp allegedly clarified that the late medical doctor was murdered inside her room. They only dragged her body outside the compound after they had k1lled her.
They thereafter cleaned up the traces of blood in the apartment but inadvertently left some spots as it was perpetrated at night.
The suspects allegedly still went ahead to rob the apartment of its valuables.
All three domestic staff were reportedly hired the same day a week before the incident happened.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said investigations were still ongoing.
