Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, has formally turned down a new office allocated to him by the Senate Services Committee, saying it was below his rank.

The senator’s dissatisfaction with the allocation was conveyed in a letter he addressed to the Chairman of the Senate Services Committee today, July 30.

In the letter, he stated that the office assigned to him, did not reflect his high-ranking status within the Senate.

Ndume who is representing Borno South at the National Assembly said he was the most senior senator after Sen Ahmad Lawan and will only occupy an office on the fourth floor.

The senator, in the letter endorsed by his Chief Confidential Secretary, Yati Shuaibu Gawu, said he was rejecting Office Number 3.10.

It would be recalled that Ndume was recently removed from his position as Chief Whip of the Senate, following his criticism of President Bola Tinubu.
