Radio presenter who bragged on air about sleeping with ‘voluptuous 14-year-old student’ arrested – Photos
A Ghanaian popular On-Air-Personality, Nana Poku Piesie, aka Kwabena, has talked himself into trouble after confessing on air that he once slept with a 14-year-old girl he was coaching at Dormaa Ahenkoro, Ghana many years ago.
Ghana Police Service picked him up after the clip of the programme was sent to them by concerned members of the public.
The police said the popular radio presenter was arrested on Tuesday 16th July 2024 for sleeping with a minor.
The press statement reads in part:
“The Ghana Police Service today 16th July 2024, arrested suspect, Nana Poku Piesie alias Kwabena, who was seen in a viral video claiming to have had sexual intercourse with a minor.”

In the video, Nana Poku who was seated in the studio of SOMPA FM was filmed talking about karma and how he has had his fair share of it due to his previous bad deeds.
To authenticate his experience, he began narrating how he found himself on the wrong side of the law with a 14-year-old primary school student.
“I had sekz with one 14-year-old a few years ago. Her father is a wealthy man in Dormaa Ahenkro,” he started.
Some others in the studio with him sensed trouble and tried to stop him from going further, but he brushed them aside.
“No, let me share my experience!” he said, in apparent response to those gesturing to him to discontinue the narration of this story.
“I slept with her so much… She was very voluptuous. I had sex with her multiple times from when she was in class 6 until she completed Kumasi SHS. Oh Kwame, sinning is not good,” he reflected.
Explaining how this story relates to the conversation of karma they were having, the man proceeded to say,
“Now after my daughter also got to that level, I noticed one teacher had also started engaging her inappropriately, and so I complained about it to my wife, and then she reminded me of my past sin with the other girl.”
“She asked what age the girl was when I had sex with her, and then I said she was about 14–15 years old. Then she asked me how I got hold of her.
I said it was through extra classes and by the time I knew it, I had broken her virginity. And then my wife responded, do you know God has paid you back? I thought about it and told her she was right. The law of natural karma. It hurt me,” he mentioned.
Many celebrities in Ghana, including Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson and super rapper Sarkodie immediately called for his arrest.
Having sexual relations with anyone under the age of consent is considered statutory rape regardless of whether the minor consents or not. In Nigeria, defilement carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Conviction for defilement in Ghana carries a minimum of seven years and a maximum of 25 years sentence.
