Married man allegedly cons UK-based Nigerian lady to fund his relocation before dumping her to reunite with his family

A United Kingdom-based Nigerian lady, simply identified as Rose, has taken to social media to expose a married man she spent over 30,000 pounds Sterling to relocate to the UK to be her life partner only for him to abscond from her home and reunite with his wife.

Rose said she paid for Akin Okunade to pursue a Master’s degree in Conflict, Security and Development at the University of Sussex in the UK and gave him weekly allowances for the duration of his course.

She claimed to have even paid for the full tuition of the course ending in October 2024.

She shared a lovey-dovey video of herself with Akin on his first birthday upon successful relocation to the UK.

She claimed Akin told her he had children but was unmarried and she told him she was not interested in having children with him. She said she told him she only wanted him to be her life partner.

Rose said she thought she was investing in their future together by sponsoring his trip to the UK and providing Akin money to send to his children.

She further claimed she was aware that Akin filled in his children’s names as dependants in his visa application but was not aware he also filled in his wife’s name.

Rose claimed she footed the bill for the application, not knowing that she was helping Akin to bring his entire family into the UK.

She said she was not aware he was married until he absconded from her home and she found out he had joined his family in another part of London.

Rose called on Nigerians in the UK to help her fish Akin Okunade out so that he could repay her all the money she spent on him.

She said she was not interested in reconciling with him but would like him to be exposed so that he would not do the same thing to another lady.

The actual whereabouts of Akin is not known, and he has set his Instagram page to private making it difficult to reach him for his side of the story.
