‘We never experienced this in Nigerian schools’, laments UK-based lady whose daughter was blackmailed in school

A Nigerian mother based in the United Kingdom has narrated the challenge she is facing with badly behaved children in her child’s school in the UK.

Using her TikTok page, @TeamsBabz, the lady lamented that a white boy in her daughter’s school coerced her daughter to give him money.

She said the daughter came to her for the money, and when she asked what she needed the money for, the daughter explained that she wanted to give it to a boy who helped her with a maths problem in school.

She said she found that strange and therefore told the girl she would not give her any money, as such help should be without payment.

The girl later went to her father who gave her the money.

She said she was summoned by her daughter’s school later the same day and was told her daughter had been a victim of blackmail, as a particular boy had been collecting money from her under threat.

Any day she failed to give money, the boy would reportedly add interest.

The mother said lamented that they were always encountering issues from badly raised children in her daughter’s school, adding that Nigerian schools never gave her and her husband the issues they have been having since they moved to the UK.

She sought advice from those who had successfully raised children in the UK.
