‘Jnr Pope’s body was not swollen, but his lips had turned black by the time they brought him out’- Says Skit maker Deacon Famous who carried Jnr Pope’s wife to the riverside
Skit maker, Deacon Famous, has narrated what he experienced on the day that the popular actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo drowned while going for a movie shoot in Anam River, Anambra State.
Deacon Famous described how he got the sad call, picked up the deceased’s wife and drove frantically to the bank of the river to ascertain what really happened.
He said he met the body of the late actor on the bank of the river with a singlet thrown over his face.
He recalled that he still looked fresh, whereas the second actor also brought out dead already looked swollen.
Deacon Famous said the only thing that looked odd about Junior Pope was that his lips had turned black.
He also talked about how he tried his best to calm the wife and how the bodies of Junior Pope and another actor was driven past his car while Junior Pope’s wife was sitting inside waiting for him to come back from the river bank to give her an update.
