Nigerian lady allegedly causes her husband to lose job, house after joining him in the UK

A Nigerian man residing in the United Kingdom has reportedly lost everything he laboured for in 17 years after he had allegedly hit his wife he brought into the country from Nigeria.

A TikTok user identified as @adereality_55 shared the story on TikTok.

According to him, his friend held a senior nursing position until he was apparently arrested in connection with violence at home.

Ade admitted that his friend did wrong by hitting his wife in the heat of their argument, but still blamed the woman for causing the man’s current predicament.

Ade claimed that trouble started after the wife, who was brought to the UK two years ago, started keeping friends who began to influence her negatively.

He claimed the woman started attending excessive parties with her friends, forcing the husband to protest.

Ade said the man also complained that his wife refused to reduce her hours of work to two or three times a week so that she could cook for the family.

The husband reportedly complained that the lady worked Monday to Friday and attended parties at least twice every month, leaving only Sunday to stay with her family.

He said the husband reported the wife to her parents back in Nigeria, but they sided with their daughter and told him she also had to work like him.

Ade said his friend believed the parents sided with their daughter because she was always sending money to them every month and was also sponsoring her younger brother in the university.

He said matters became hot during one of their discussions and the man hit the wife, leading to a series of actions that caused the husband’s employers to seize his PIN. Apparently, that ended his career as a nurse there and he is currently looking for another job.

Ade said this has so far proven difficult because age was no longer on his friend’s side, aside from the fact that his image had been dented following the incident of violence against his wife.

The man has now moved out of their two-bedroom apartment in the centre of London to Petersborough where he rented a one-room apartment to start all over again.

He further said the man was a good man who helped him when he first arrived in the UK. He said he was also supporting him financially to enable him to find his feet again.
