There has been a traffic snarl on the Long Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway all morning today, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 following the rain that fell overnight.
The drains on the bridge appeared to have been blocked by sand and debris over the dry season.
The first major rain of heralding the wet season fell overnight, creating huge poodles of water on the bridge.
As a result of this, the Lagos-bound side of the bridge was jam-packed with vehicles, mostly conveying people to their offices in Lagos.
