The police have picked up a man after his sister took to social media to document a long string of physical attacks on her over the years.
The final straw that broke the camel’s back was the beating the brother gave her last December because she declined to stay in the apartment rented for them by their father.
Her reason for not wanting to live in the apartment is the same issue of the violent conduct of the brother.
This apparently did not go down with the brother who proceeded to beat her black and blue, leaving her with injuries on her face and other parts of her body.
She sent the pictures of the injuries and account to an influencer, @Ayomiepat_who posted it on X.
She wrote: “Urgent plea: This girl is facing physical abuse from her brother. She’s in dire need of help. This happened because she refused to live in the apartment their father rented for them. Her reason for not wanting to live with him is his violent behavior which is valid.
“Supporting Abigail through her journey has been enlightening. She shared her trauma with me, and told me to share,but I encouraged her to consider opening her own Twitter account to share her story, as it’s deeply personal and involves family.

In a further update, she wrote: “The guy is an unrepentant abuser o… she said some other things about him too. I just need to confirm before putting them out here. I need to be sure she didn’t say all that because she’s angry.”
The body for fighting domestic violence in Lagos saw the tweets and asked for more information.
Ayomiepat has now provided an update that the abusive brother has been picked up by the police and is currently being detained.
