26-year-old Nigerian man celebrates becoming a US citizen three years after marrying older American woman
A Nigerian man from Kano State, Suleiman Isah, who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann some years ago, has become a citizen of the United States of America.
Isah was 23 years old when he got married to Reiman, 46, on December 13, 2020.
The couple met on Instagram 10 months before their wedding.
Ms Reiman, a chef based in Lindon, California, subsequently flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony which was held at Barracks Mosque Panshekara.
In May 2023, Isah announced that he had joined the US Army.
Taking to his Facebook page on Thursday, October 26, 2023, Isah celebrated becoming an American citizen.
“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to serve in the world’s strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become a citizen of the United States of America. I am now an American,” he wrote.
