A first-class biochemistry graduate from the Federal University Otuoke in Bayelsa, Nigeria, Chidera John, has tragically passed away in an accident.
She was the only child of her parents.
She lost her father about a month earlier and was the pillar of support for her grieving mother. Unfortunately, she has now died too, leaving the mother behind.
Only a few days ago, Chidera took to her social media handles to celebrate the completion of her studies at the university.
She gave thanks to God for seeing her through, her father for believing in her and her mother for being her support throughout her schooling.
She posted a picture of herself alone and with her mates in celebration of their graduation.
The announcement of Chidera’s demise was made by a fellow student from the same university, Jerry Godsent, in a heartfelt Facebook post on Monday, October 16.
He noted sadly that Chidera’s graduation ceremony took place just 12 days before her unfortunate accident.
Jerry disclosed that Chidera was originally from Abia State, and her father’s burial had occurred on September 21, 2023, shortly before her own passing.
Godsent did not disclose the details of the accident that took Chidera’s life.
