Lady calls out bank for reversing payment days after goods were delivered to customer (Video)
A Nigerian lady, Adunni Ewa, who runs a jewellery shop has taken to social media to call out her bank after a payment she received for goods purchased by a customer was reversed without any recourse to her.
Aduniewa shared her harrowing experience in a TikTok video, detailing how she conducted a successful business transaction with a customer, only to later discover that the funds had been deducted from her account without her consent.
According to Aduniewa, after delivering the jewellery to the customer, the payment was promptly made, and she duly confirmed receipt of the transfer. She then authorized the release of the goods to the customer.
However, a few days later, she found that the money had been deducted from her account.
Her bank informed her that the same customer had flagged the credit alert as a “mistaken transaction.”
Aduniewa expressed her bewilderment at her bank’s decision to reverse the transaction without informing her first.
She escalated the matter to the leadership of her bank’s branch, forwarding to them all the details of the transaction.
She said she was told they would get back to her in three days. She is now waiting for that to be up before knowing what next steps to take.
Many of her followers are demanding for the name of the bank so they can avoid it. But she has managed to keep it under wrap, pending when they would revert to her.
Some of her followers have assured her that she has a good case and should get the services of a lawyer.
