Following widespread ranting on Twitter by the fans of the late musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, over his alleged maltreatment by some individuals, the police have advised anyone with any evidence to take it to a local police station.

The advice was given by DSP Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Delta State, while reacting to a tweet by rapper Young Skales.

Skales had expressed frustration over the perceived absence of effective policing in Nigeria, stating, “Police no dey this country?”

In response, Edafe urged Nigerians to understand that Twitter is not a police station and encouraged individuals with any evidence related to Mohbad’s death to report it at the nearest police station. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed musician. “May his soul rest in peace, Amen,” he wrote.

However, Skales responded with venom.

He expressed sadness over the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and lamented the lack of support for artistes in the industry.

He wrote, “My friend will you shut up…stupid criminals.

“They basically made life miserable for that kid … I’m awake and sad again … evidence full everywhere !! My heart is broken.

“No friends for this industry … if not for my stubborn head and God ehn … pray for your artiste friends.

“We leave in a country where the truth is clear but nothing will be done about it ..I rest my case back to catering for my daughter.. no hope for naija men”.
