The newly sworn-in minister of tourism, Lola Ade-John, was filmed kneeling down to greet President Bola Tinubu after she was formally sworn in on Monday.
The gesture attracted mixed comments online, with some people commending her exhibition of the Yoruba culture of respect for elders, while a few others criticized her for doing too much.
She was not the only one, however. The Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu also prostrated before President Tinubu after taking his oath of office.
