The Kaduna State Government has declared the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) National President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, wanted over the five-day strike in State.
NLC has been on strike in Kaduna State for some days now, with the leadership of the body insisting that the strike would continue unless the state government attends to the workers grievances.
NLC is protesting the recent sack of 7,000 local government workers and the refusal of the state government to settle the entitlements of about 50, 000 workers it disengaged from service from 2017 to date.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai had earlier described the five-day warning strike as a campaign against the state’s economy and social sabotage. In a tweet on Tuesday, he promised to reward anyone with information on Ayuba’s whereabouts.
He wrote, “KADUNA UPDATE: Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act.
“Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”
