The Osun State Police Command has paraded three suspects who invaded a Celestial Church located in Odu Village near Osogbo in Osun State during a vigil and abducted some members.
The suspects abducted 12 members of the church, r@ping one during the operation.
Luck ran out on the hoodlums when local hunters and other volunteers burst in on them in the forest, allowing the abducted church members to flee from their captors.
The state’s police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola who spoke to newsmen, advised religious bodies against having programmes late in the evening or early morning, especially in centres located in isolated places.
Opalola said further questioning of the suspects was ongoing.
