Emefiele pleads not guilty to unlawful possession of firearm
The suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele was this morning, July 25, arraigned before a Federal High Court Lagos, for illegal possession of firearms,
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
According to the Vanguard, Emefiele arrived at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos earlier in the day for his alleged gun possession trial.
The embattled apex bank’s chief arrived the court before his lawyers. He faces a two-count charge of possessing a single-barrel shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371) without a licence.
