Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that President Bola Tinubu was talking ‘absolute nonsense’ when he accused him of trying to stifle Lagos’ economic growth when he was in power as president.
Tinubu has on many occasions made reference to the fact that the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration tried to cripple the Lagos economy by withholding its local government funds.
Obasanjo refuted this allegation and shaded Tinubu for owning Alpha Beta, a tax consultancy.
The former Nigerian leader spoke during a chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
Obasanjo when asked about the allegation that he (Obasanjo) attempted to cripple the economy of Lagos, said, “That was absolute nonsense. If he doesn’t know then he doesn’t know anything.
“Is it that one that made him have ALPHABETA?”
