Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the Akere Motor Parts Market, Kirikiri Road, Olodi Apapa, Ajegunle in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government to assess the situation of the area after it was razed overnight on Wednesday.
It was widely alleged that the market was razed by political thugs who were not happy that the All Progressives Party (APC) was defeated in Lagos by the Labour Party.
To give fillip to the allegation, a guard at the market who reportedly tried to stop the hoodlums who set the market ablaze was allegedly shot dead.
The police are investigating the incident and the allegations that attended it.
