Some herdsmen fled from Urhodo-Ovu community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta in terror on Sunday, May 2, when lightning struck their cattle.
A total of 12 cows were said to have been killed instantly.
The thunder and lightning followed a heavy downpour in the area. The herdsmen and their cattle were said to be in their settlement at the time.

At the time of filing this report, the 12 dead cows were still lying fallow on the ground.
