Hoodlums vandalise ATMs, police station, over scarcity of naira notes, in Ibadan (Video)

Hoodlums have attacked and vandalized a police station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital as the unrest attending the scarcity of naira notes and petrol worsened.

A Wema Bank branch opposite the police station was also attacked and an entire gallery of Automatic Teller Machines was destroyed.

Police men at the station, located at Agodi Gate area, took to their heels as mammoth protesters swooped on the premises.

The otherwise peaceful protest against fuel and cash scarcity was apparently hijacked by hoodlums who went on a destruction spree.

Areas where protests were reported included Agodi Gate, Idi Ape, Iwo Road Olodo, Monatan and Iyana Church.
