A shop burglar has been found dead by residents of Fadama area of Ghana, following a failed bid to rob a shop.
A video shared on social media, indicated that the incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning, December 19.
The video showed the burglar, also referred to as ‘container-hijacker’ in local parlance, hanging upside down from the ceiling of one of the shops.
It appears he was trying to exit the shop after breaking in before he got stuck from his hip.
It was not clear what actually killed him. It was speculated that he might have made contact with live electricity current while struggling to get out of the shop.
The corpse of the burglar has reportedly been deposited at the morgue pending when his relatives will step forward.
