I’m not gay, please, Actor Uche Maduagwu renounces professed sexuality after being deserted by producers
Roughly three months after declaring that he was gay, Nigerian actor, Uche Maduagwu, has put up a post on his Instagram page denying being gay.
In the post, the actor said he has been abandoned by his girlfriend and movie producers.
Apart from losing out on movie roles, Maduagwu said endorsements had also dried up since he initially disclosed he was gay.
The actor claimed he was only fighting for the rights of the LGBT community in Nigeria.
He wrote: “Dear fans I am not Gay. I lost movie roles, endorsement, and my girlfriend fighting for LGBT right in Nigeria.
“Omg, even my girlfriend left me despite knowing I was fighting for LGBT right in Naija but I no regret using my celebrity status to fighting for this beautiful community (sic)”.
However, his followers were not too keen on showing him understanding.

Others, opined that he tried being gay because he thought ‘there was money in it’ and he is making a U-turn now when he realised things were not going as planned.
Others advised him to work on his craft and stopped chasing clout.
