Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, is still in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), 24 hours after he was arrested in Abuja.
Recall that the former governor, now a senator, was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday, April 13, in connection with an allegation of fraud in the region of N7.9 billion while he was governor of Imo State.
It was gathered that the former governor was yet to obtain administrative bail as of the time of filing this report.
A source within EFCC confirmed that the former governor had been undergoing interrogation since Tuesday because of the huge volume of transactions for which clarifications were required.
It was learnt that Okorocha was cooperating with the investigators and providing information as requested.
