A group of people filming a burning SUV in an American community got more than they bargained for when the SUV exploded suddenly.
Many of the bystanders were injured when the burning car suddenly exploded, sending balls of fire and fragments in various directions.
The impact of the explosion also threw some of the bystanders some metres away from where they were standing.
The incident is serving as an urgent reminder to people to stay away from burning vehicles as there are many car components that can explode when exposed to the intense heat from an inferno.
