Photos of suspended LG chairman with wife at his swearing-in ceremony four days before her death

The suspended Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon Mbazulike Iloka was pictured with his late wife, Chidiebere Jane, at his swearing-in four days before her death.

Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo on Tuesday, 2nd August, 2022, inaugurated the Transition Committee Chairmen of the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State at the State Governor’s office, Awka.

Four days later, the husband reported his wife dead, claiming she slumped and died after she served him breakfast.

Soludo issued him a suspension letter after receiving reports alleging that the man battered his wife, leading to her death.

According to the police, neighbours and those who knew the couple suspect that Iloka might have allegedly killed his wife, considering alleged history of consistent beating and battery.

There were marks of violence on the body as filmed a few hours after her death. There were visible bruises on the face and other parts of her body.
