Three travellers have been abducted by gun men in Osu town, along Ife-Ilesha Expressway in Osun State.
Among the victims was a man identified as Usman, the brother of Seriki Hausa of Iyere town.
Reports indicated that the vehicle the victims were travelling in was waylaid by the bandits who shot sporadically, forcing the driver to stop.
They were then shepherded into the bush.
A combined team of police and members of the Hunters Group of Nigeria in Osun State is currently making attempt to locate the victims and secure their release.
The Seriki Hausa, Haruna Tanko, confirmed abduction of his brother, adding that a ransom of N50m had been demanded by the kidnappers.
The spokesperson for the Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, also confirmed the incident and the fact that N50m had been demanded.
Opalola said, “Operatives are working hard to rescue those abducted and arrest the perpetrators.”
