Commuters and residents had horrible experience at Ketu on Wednesday when hoodlums fighting for supremacy unleashed mayhem in the area.
At least six people were injured in the fracas that allegedly involved Ikosi boys and the Ketu Fruit Market boys.
Shops were looted, vehicles caught in the pandemonium were vandalised and some commuters waiting for bus were robbed of their belongings.
It was learnt that trouble started the previous night when the traditional ruler of the community refused to give audience to the market boys, who had sought his audience on a matter at the market.
Rebuffed by the monarch, the boys were said to have resorted to violence and were engaged by street boys.
Guns and other weapons were reportedly freely used in the fracas.
The fight spilled over to the morning when they threateaned commuters who were waiting for BRT bus with knives and cutlasses and robbed them of their valuables.
Lagos State Police Command later said in a statement that 15 suspected cultists were arrested in connection with the crisis.
Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who signed the statement said the arrested persons belonged to Eiye, Aiye and Buccaneer cults.
The police spokesman said two locally-made pistols, some live cartridges and assorted charms were recovered from the suspects.
He said they were fighting over the revenue generated in the Ketu Fruit Market.
