A Nigerian young lady was sacked for not joining others to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ song to a colleague in the office.
This emerged after Nigerians took to Twitter to share their experiences with toxic bosses and managers under the hashtag #HorribleBosses.
As people were sharing their experiences, a certain Daniel Emeka, kept recurring as those who worked with him in the past said bad things about him.
Corroborating what some people had earlier said about the boss, Omodolapo, tweeting with @sisi_nene_eko said: “DO NOT WORK FOR THIS MAN. Daniel is everything everyone is saying and more. Someone was sacked for not singing ‘Happy Birthday”.
As ridiculous, exaggerated and far-fetched that sounded, the lady sacked saw the thread and joined the conversation.
The lady identified as Paseda on Twitter wrote: “It was me y’all! I was sacked for not singing Happy Birthday”. She added laughing emojis.
The boss in question saw that he was being fried online and rushed in to defend himself.
Daniel Emeka explained that he only asked Paseda to go home if she would not celebrate with her colleague and she did not come back.
To other accusations of being mean and toxic, he shared some screenshots of the staff asking for days off and his replies granting them.
