Man who opted to travel by road to Sierra Leone after his flight was cancelled goes missing
A 22-year-old man, Nyakeh Mohammed Fullah, has been declared missing after he decided to embark on a road trip when his flight was cancelled.
His friend who raised the alarm on Twitter said Fullah travelled to Nigeria for a visa appointment as he intended to travel abroad for school. She said he was to return to Freetown when his flight was cancelled.
Desperate to get back home, he was said to have contacted his friend to send him some money to complete the bus fare.
Fullah also told the friend he intended to sell his phone as well.
He was keeping in touch with his friend via text until he got to Liberia when he stopped communicating with her.
It’s now about two months since anybody has heard from him.
The friend shared their last exchanges, in one of which he gave an account number of a local man who promised to help him withdraw the money. He gave the account name as Otuodichukwu Frederick Offor.
In another message, he thanked his friend for bailing him out with funds for the bus.
The friend is calling on the authorities to help track the person into whose account she sent the money. She believes he may have a clue about what happened to Fullah.
