Enforce prohibition of open gracing for peace- Abia Gov, Ikpeazu charges security agencies
Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has called on security agencies in the state to help to enforce the Anti-Open Grazing Law of the state.
Ikpeazu made the call while flagging-off the state-wide sensitization workshop against criminal activities in Abia communities on Monday in Umuahia, the state capital.
He stressed that the law held the key to minimising the level of insecurity currently ravaging the state and other parts of the country.
The Abia Governor was represented by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu.
He charged stakeholders in the state to cooperate with the government in fighting against insecurity across the state.
The governor charged various opinion leaders in the state to collaborate to stamp out insecurity from the state by making security of the state their business.
He pledged that the state government would continue to ensure that her citizens were secured by continuing to assist security agencies in the state with vehicles and necessary equipment/gadgets.
