Tochi Wigwe, the eldest surviving daughter of the late Access Bank Group Chief Executive Officer Herbert Wigwe, tied the knot with her partner, Wilson Aikhomu, in an intimate traditional wedding ceremony held in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The colourful private event, attended by close family members and business associates, featured traditional marriage rites including bride price presentation, formal signing of family documents, and the ceremonial handover of the bride to the groom’s family.

Clips and photos from the event surfaced online on Thursday, drawing widespread congratulatory messages across social media platforms.

Tochi, an alumnus of New York University with a master’s degree from Imperial College London, previously worked with Access Bank and Coronation Merchant Bank.

She currently serves as a director at the HOW Foundation, an organisation carrying on her late father’s legacy.

Her husband, Wilson Aikhomu, is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Lagos-based investment firm Zoya Admiralty.

He is the son of the late Rear Admiral Joseph Aikhomu and nephew of former Vice President Admiral Augustus Aikhomu.

He holds degrees from California State University, Northridge, and the University of Westminster, with prior career stints at Leadway and RMB Stockbroking.

The milestone celebration comes over two years after the tragic helicopter crash in Nipton, California, on February 9, 2024, which claimed the lives of her father Herbert Wigwe, mother Chizoba, brother Chizi, and former Nigerian Exchange Group Chairman Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
