A 34-year-old California man, Ismael Pinedalopez, has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his wife’s lover to death upon discovering him in bed with her and their two young children.
The incident occurred on October 24, 2026, when Pinedalopez returned early from work to his Anaheim home and found 28-year-old Nicholas Garcia in his bedroom wearing only his underwear.
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Pinedalopez attacked Garcia with a pocketknife, inflicting multiple fatal stab wounds.
The couple’s two young children—a two-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son—were in the bed when the assault took place.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Pinedalopez’s wife and children were physically unharmed during the incident.
Pinedalopez was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently arraigned on Tuesday, October 27, on one felony count of murder along with a weapon enhancement charge. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison.
