Veteran Nigerian actress Omotunde Ogundimu has publicly appealed to the public for financial assistance as she continues her battle against cervical cancer, a health condition she revealed she has been fighting since 2024.

The film star made the emotional plea during a recent interview on the media platform hosted by fellow actress Biola Adebayo.

During the interview, an emotional Ogundimu opened up about the physical pain and financial toll the prolonged medical treatment has taken on her life.

“I have been battling cervical cancer since 2024,” Ogundimu shared during the session. “The treatment I received also has side effects, such as my buttock hurting me when I go to urinate.”

Breathing heavily through tears, the actress expressed severe physical and mental exhaustion caused by the illness and its harsh therapeutic routines.

“I just want to be okay. I am exhausted. I want a peaceful life,” she stated.

Omotunde Ogundimu appeals for medical assistance

Addressing well-meaning individuals and fans across the country, Ogundimu explained that her financial resources have been completely exhausted by ongoing medical bills, leaving her unable to cover further necessary care.

“I plead with Nigerians to have mercy on me,” she appealed. “I still need to be treated; please have mercy on me. I don’t know who to call and where to get money from again. Please just help me.”
