Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has shared a deeply personal chapter of his family history, revealing that he is the only surviving child among four sets of twins born to his mother.
The veteran film star made the disclosure during a recent appearance on the cooking and talk show Stirring Stories by Simisola, where he reflected on his childhood, family dynamics, and personal values.
According to Ogogo, his mother gave birth to eight children in total—comprising four sets of twins—but seven of his siblings passed away at various points, leaving him as the sole survivor.
I am the only surviving one,” Ogogo revealed, explaining how losing seven siblings shaped his outlook on life, family duty, and personal accountability.

Transitioning to broader social issues during the interview, the veteran actor spoke passionately about fatherhood, condemning men who abandon their parental duties or leave their partners to raise children alone.
Addressing the rising number of single mothers in society, Ogogo emphasised that fathers cannot evade their obligations indefinitely.
“You are running away from your responsibilities; it is hanging up there in your house, you will still meet it and face it squarely whenever you come back home,” he remarked.
While acknowledging that some men neglect their parental roles, Ogogo cautioned against painting all fathers with the same brush, noting that many men remain dedicated, responsible parents committed to their families.
