Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has commended her male colleague, Daniel Effiong, for being professional during their recent shooting of an intimate scene in the second season of Blood Sisters.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Henshaw recalled one of the most demanding moments on set, when her character had intimacy with the character played by Effiong.

According to the award-winning actress, she and Daniel had an open conversation before filming to establish boundaries and ensure both actors were comfortable with the scene’s requirements. 

She noted that professionalism and mutual respect played a crucial role in making the process seamless.

Henshaw explained that despite the nature of the sequence, Daniel remained focused on the job and conducted himself professionally throughout filming.

The script required Henshaw to strip down to her waist while pretending to ride Effiong. 

“At no point during the sequence did Daniel Effiong rise to the occasion” she said to general laughter.

“He’s safe. He’s a good boy!” she added.

The actress commended Effiong for creating a comfortable working environment and ensuring that the scene was executed as intended by the production team.

Her comments have sparked widespread reactions online, with many fans commending both actors for their professionalism and dedication to their craft.

The revelation comes as Blood Sisters continues to generate conversation among viewers following the release of its latest season. 

The Netflix crime thriller, which features a star-studded cast, has remained one of the most discussed Nigerian productions in recent weeks.

Henshaw, who plays Uduak Ademola in the series, has received praise for her performance, while Daniel Etim-Effiong’s portrayal of Akin Bassey has also attracted positive reviews from audiences.

As discussions about behind-the-scenes realities in Nollywood continue to grow, Henshaw’s remarks have shed light on the level of preparation, communication, and professionalism required from actors when filming emotionally and physically demanding scenes.
