A resident of Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo State, managed to capture the tail end of the abduction of the sister of former power Minister, Adebayo Adelabu, earlier this morning, June 3, 2026.

The resident captured the incident from the verandah of a house facing the road where the woman and her twins were intercepted.

The video recorded through the verandah’s railings shows the moment the woman and her twins were put into the car that blocked their car.

The transition was very fast, and the gunmen’s cars zoomed off into the distance.

Another clip captured the moment residents came out to inspect the car left behind shortly after the victims were whisked away.

In the second video, it is clear that the gunmen shattered the window of the driver’s side of the car, and all four doors of the car were left ajar.

A woman arrives wailing and explaining that the woman whisked away is the younger sister of Mr Adelabu.

For those who did not understand, she explained further that she was the last daughter of the late famous politician, Adegoke Adelabu, Penkelemes.

The incident has continued to generate reactions online, with many people bemoaning the worsening insecurity of the country.

Some netizens pointed out that the incident did not bear the imprint of Fulani bandits, as those ones do not kidnap using cars.

One netizen noted that it could be politically motivated, while some expressed scepticism that it was real, suggesting that it could have been organised for political advantage.

There is no official information from the police on the incident at the time of filing this report.
