Lone crash on Oshodi–Apapa Expressway claims one life

A driver has died following a lone-vehicle accident on the Oshodi–Apapa Expressway in Lagos State.
The crash occurred on Saturday morning, May 30, at the Charity Bus Stop axis inward Iyana Isolo, when a Honda Pilot Sports Utility Vehicle reportedly lost control, somersaulted multiple times, and eventually came to a halt.
The driver was said to have been trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle and was confirmed dead at the scene.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), who were on routine patrol in the area, responded swiftly to the incident alongside officers from the Mosafejo Police Division.
Rescue personnel were able to recover the victim’s body from the wreckage before it was handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU), which conveyed the remains to a public mortuary.
The damaged SUV was later handed over to the police for further investigation into the cause of the crash.
