Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed the scale of his past cannabis consumption, disclosing that he spent an estimated ₦340 million on weed within a six-year period before making a lifestyle change.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, the award-winning artiste said the expenditure covered purchases made from a single supplier based in Lagos, while noting that additional transactions were also made through other contacts in cities including Abuja, Jos, as well as international locations such as Ghana and London.
He emphasized that the ₦340 million figure represented only one known source of supply and did not capture his full spending during the period.
According to him, the heavy spending occurred between 2020 and 2026, a phase he now associates with excess and lack of control.
Ice Prince explained that he eventually made a conscious decision to quit smoking cannabis and also stop alcohol consumption as part of a broader personal reset.
He linked the decision to a period of transformation in his life, which included efforts to improve his physical health, achieve weight loss, and adopt a more disciplined routine.
The rapper described the shift as part of a wider journey of self-discovery and personal growth, during which he reassessed long-standing habits.
He also noted that he has embraced celibacy for a period, adding that this, along with abstinence from substances, has helped him maintain focus and structure in his daily life.
His comments have since generated discussions among fans, particularly around the financial implications of substance use and the increasing number of entertainers publicly reflecting on past lifestyle choices.
