Adetoro, two sisters found dead at sea in UK

Three sisters, Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walter, 32, and Rebecca Walter, 31, have been found dead in the United Kingdom.
The bodies of the sisters were recovered from the sea off Brighton Beach, a well-known tourist destination in East Sussex.
Sussex Police identified the women on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, as all three were reportedly from the Uxbridge area of London.
Emergency services were first alerted at about 05:45 BST on May 13 after a report that a person was seen in the water near Black Rock car park along Madeira Drive.
However, upon arrival, rescue teams recovered two additional bodies from the same area, confirming that all three sisters had died.
Authorities have since launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Police said inquiries are ongoing to determine how the women entered the water, though they currently see no immediate indication of criminal involvement.
A police spokesperson stated that specialist detectives are working to establish the full facts of the case, while stressing that there is “no evidence to suggest third-party involvement or criminality” at this stage.
The family of the deceased has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
In an emotional tribute, the sisters’ father, Joseph, described the devastating loss as “unbearable grief,” saying no words could fully capture the pain of losing three daughters at once.
“No words can truly describe the pain of losing three daughters in the prime of their lives,” he said. “Jane, Christina, and Becky were more than daughters to me; they were my joy, my strength, and the beautiful light that filled our family with happiness and love.”
He added that each of them had a unique presence that brought comfort and joy to those around them, noting that their memories would remain forever in the family’s hearts.
Brighton & Hove City Council leader Bella Sankey described the incident as one of the most tragic events the city had experienced in recent years, expressing deep sympathy for the grieving family.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the deaths.
