“You betrayed me” — Man catches friend allegedly planning sexual encounter with his wife (Video)
A viral video making rounds on social media has captured the tense moment a man confronted his close friend over an alleged affair with his wife.
According to details gathered from the heated exchange in the clip, the husband claimed he accidentally caught his friend arranging over the phone to have a secret meeting over the phone with his wife during a period he would be away from home.
Furious over the alleged betrayal, the man confronted his friend publicly as several bystanders watched the dramatic scene unfold.
The two men, who communicated mostly in Igbo, were seen arguing intensely while another individual restrained the accused friend to stop him from fleeing.
During the confrontation, the enraged husband repeatedly struck the man with the flat side of a large cutlass as the accused attempted to explain himself.
In his defence, the embattled man claimed the woman involved was his former sexual partner long before she met and married his friend.
This explanation, however, infuriated the husband, who repeatedly hit his friend with the cutlass during the altercation.
At one point, the cutlass slipped from the husband’s hand and fell to the ground. He immediately asked the person recording the incident to retrieve it for him, as he did not want to leave the accused.
A female voice in the background was heard warning the cameraman not to hand the cutlass back to the aggrieved husband, but the warning was ignored.
The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with most netizens criticising the husband for trying to commit murder over a woman who did not respect him enough to be loyal to him.
