Popular media personality Frank Edoho has said that he dreaded having to die as a result of heartbreak or emotional trauma caused by a woman.
The host of the Nigerian edition of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” disclosed this in an interview posted on Saturday by Outside The Box, a YouTube Channel.
Edoho said it would be shameful for him to get to the gate of heaven and be told that a woman, be it his daughter, mother, or wife, was responsible for his death.
“I don’t want that to be my way out of this portal. I don’t want that”, he said.
Speaking about how he hopes to be remembered, Edoho said he desires a life marked by kindness, impact, and fulfilment rather than regret or bitterness.
According to him, his wish is to leave behind memories of positively influencing people and spreading happiness wherever he went.
His remarks come shortly after renewed public attention on his troubled marriage with his estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.
Sandra had earlier taken to Instagram to accuse Frank Edoho of repeated infidelity throughout their marriage. In her lengthy post, she alleged that Edoho was involved with multiple women, while also accusing him of emotional mistreatment, financial irresponsibility involving her funds, and pressuring her to terminate a pregnancy.
Edoho later responded with counterclaims, alleging that Sandra had also been unfaithful during the marriage. He further alleged that she had an affair with singer Chike, claiming he possessed recordings of conversations between them and had confronted the musician in an attempt to salvage the relationship for the sake of their children.
Despite the controversy surrounding the marriage, Edoho avoided directly addressing the allegations during the interview. Instead, he reflected on the emotional challenges men often endure privately.
He explained that many men suffer in silence and rarely speak openly about their struggles, noting that some carry their pain to the grave without ever sharing it.
The broadcaster also disclosed that he personally endured a dark and emotionally draining phase in his life for nearly two years without informing those close to him.
According to Edoho, he chose to face the difficult period alone as part of a personal journey to rebuild and reorganise himself emotionally. He admitted that, at the time, he felt overwhelmed and emotionally trapped.
He credited his years in broadcasting for helping him maintain composure during difficult situations. Edoho explained that his experience on television taught him how to remain calm and professional regardless of personal circumstances.
However, he admitted that maintaining such emotional control outside the studio has been far more difficult in real life.
Edoho’s marriage to Sandra was his second. He was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, a relationship that also ended publicly.
The TV host had earlier confirmed that he and Sandra had already been separated for nearly two years before their marital issues recently resurfaced online.
