Viral cleaner graduates as third-best in Maths at Unilorin

A young woman, Adunbarin Romoke Lasisi, who went viral in 2021 for proudly identifying herself as a cleaner, has graduated from the University of Ilorin as the third-best graduating student from the Department of Mathematics.
The proud graduate took to the same platform that brought her fame four years ago to announce her new achievement.
In April 2021, Adun had written:
“A Colleague asked me how I feel comfortable posting with a cleaner’s uniform. Well, I told her it doesn’t matter that won’t make people who don’t like me to start liking me, besides that’s who I am presently, but I won’t be forever.”
She attached pictures of herself in her cleaner uniform.
Netizens loved the post and commended her for her humility and sense of purpose. They showered her with words of encouragement.
The post raked in over a million views. She capitalised on the fame to solicit cleaning jobs.
On May 1, 2021, she wrote:
“I don’t know my post will get this far, God I’m grateful 🙏, thank you all for not condemning me, you can also call me for your weekend cleaning service, new apartment cleaning, move in or move out, general house cleaning and afterparty cleaning..”
Someone asked her if she was interested in another type of job or wanted to keep cleaning for the rest of her life. She replied that she planned to continue her education and was only waiting for admission.
A couple of months later, she announced on the same platform that she had been offered admission.
On Thursday, October 23, Adun quoted her viral post of 2021 and provided an update on her life.
She wrote:
“Quoting this again to say a big thank you to all the amazing individuals who supported this post. I truly appreciate you all 🤍🤍🤍
I’m grateful to share that I finished with the 3rd-best overall CGPA (4.943) just 0.001 behind the 2nd!
I hope I made you all proud. 🙏😌”
