The woman who accidentally exposed Andrew Byron, CEO of AI firm Astronomer, and his HR director, Kirstin Cabot, smooching at a Coldplay concert in the US has broken her silence.
Grace Springer, 28, from New Jersey, says it serves the cheating couple right, and she has little sympathy for them.
Springer was recording the crowd at Gillette Stadium in Boston, venue of the music concert on Tuesday, July 15, when Byron and Cabot popped up on the stadium’s big screen.
The shock of their sudden exposure to a global audience was too visible to everyone.
Byron tried to get out of view, while embarrassed Cabot used both hands to cover her face and turned away.
Coldplay’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin, jokingly commented that the pair were either having an affair or were just very shy.
He was spot on. The duo were cheating on their partners.
Grace, who was not aware of the identity of the two, later posted the footage on her TikTok page, where it went viral.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Grace said she found the reaction of the two curious.
She remarked that a part of her felt bad for “turning these people’s lives upside down”, but she dismissed the thought because anyone who played stupid games should prepare to win stupid prizes.
Her video has racked up tens of millions of views in just a few days, drawing massive attention to the two executives.
Byron heads a billion-dollar company that supplies generative AI software to major firms, including Uber, Ford, and LinkedIn.
It took netizens no time to identify them.
Byron had showered encomiums on Cabot publicly in a company statement last November, highlighting her leadership in talent management and workplace culture.
The statement would have a new meaning in the light of their affair that has now been blown open.
Byron is beyond reproach in terms of his performance on the job. He reportedly led the company to 292% revenue growth in 2023, the same year he was appointed CEO.
Before then, he had served as Chief Revenue Officer at Cybereason, a cybersecurity firm.
Coldplay has upcoming performances scheduled for Madison, Nashville, and Miami before returning to the UK later this summer.
