The National Hospital Abuja is currently treating a woman rescued from the roadside on July 8, 2025, and is calling on the public to help identify her.

No information is provided as to how she became unconscious and was left on the roadside, but speculations indicate that she might have been one of the latest victims of one-chance robbery in the Federal Capital Territory.

The hospital said in a statement on Friday, July 11, 2025, that the woman was found unconscious along Kubwa–Deidei Road.

The female patient is in the Trauma ICU of the hospital, and there was no identification card or phone with her at the time of her rescue.

The hospital management called on anyone who recognised her or witnessed anything related to her to come forward or contact this phone number, 0903 009 7889.

There has been a spike in muggings and violent robberies inside public transportation, especially cabs, in the city in recent times.

The social media is filled with tales of victims, mostly women, badly beaten and thrown out of moving vehicles after their valuables had been collected.

Last week, a staff member of the Ghana High Commission, Freda Arnong, was beaten to death by a group of one-chance robbers.
