The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has joined his ancestors at the age of 90.
According to reports, Oba Olakulehin passed away in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025.
Interestingly, the revered monarch was born in the month of July in 1935. He departed in the same month of July, 90 years later.
The late monarch was installed only last year. He got his staff of office from Governor Seyi Makinde on July 12, 2024, upon the de@th of the 42nd Olubadan, Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okumade II, on March 14, 2024. He was aged 81.
Funeral arrangements for Oba Olakulehin are expected later. May his soul rest in peace.
