Pastor’s daughter in nursing school dies in boyfriend’s room in Ghana
Police launch manhunt

Gifty Kyere, a 28-year-old final-year student of the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College, has died under unclear circumstances in the room of her boyfriend, located in Jinijini, Bono Region in Ghana.
Gifty reportedly left home a day before the tragic incident for school and was expected to return home a few days later to collect her school fees and other items.
The news of her demise came as a rude shock to her family.
Her father, Pastor Kyere Jonathan of the Agape Evangelical Church, said he was shocked to learn that his daughter had gone to her boyfriend’s place rather than returning home.
The boyfriend, 23-year-old Edmond Ayomah, is currently on the run. He has, however, contacted others, indicating plans to surrender to the authorities.
Ayomah claimed that Gifty died from an asthma attack and said he was unable to take her to the hospital due to financial constraints. Police have expressed doubts about his account.
Sources close to the investigation allege that Ayomah may have pressured Gifty into terminating a pregnancy, a development that could be linked to her death.
Authorities are continuing their probe and have intensified efforts to locate the suspect.
