Kenyan woman, 28, arrested with 294g of cocaine hidden in her private parts

A 28-year-old Kenyan woman has been apprehended for allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine concealed in her private parts.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made the announcement in a statement released on Friday, April 18, 2025.
According to the DCI, the suspect, identified as Jane Njeri Muigai, was arrested by a multi-agency team targeting drug traffickers operating between Kenya’s Northern Frontier District and the capital, Nairobi.
“She was found in possession of 294 grams of cocaine hidden in her private part,” the statement said.
Her arrest came after a Nairobi-bound bus from Moyale was stopped at a routine roadblock. Noticing suspicious behavior, female officers singled her out for a more detailed inspection, which led to the discovery.
The suspect is currently being held at the Moyale Police Station, while anti-narcotics officers have taken over the case for further investigation and legal proceedings.
